As consultants we help our clients to set up future proof financials. With our pragmatic approach we ensure, among other things, timely reports with relevant management information, compliance with laws and regulations and that both our client and the accountant are happy. We do this in our typical Marble way of work: personal, critical and resourceful.

What you’ll be doing
Does predictability drain you and does the idea of all workdays looking the same give you the creeps? Don’t worry, as a Senior Finance & Risk Consultant at Marble, your workdays are not going to be the same.
When you’re currently working as audit staff or senior staff at a Big 4 firm, you’re in for an awesome challenge at Marble. With us you’ll be on the other side of the table: An inspiring and dynamic side, where a whole new world opens up for you. A world in which you, thanks to your solid financial background, properly guide companies in their growth while they are conquering their market.
We don’t do any auditing at Marble. Our role is to support the process and build the bridge between the auditor and our client. Thanks to your ability to speak both languages you add immense value and are able to find the balance where all stakeholders are satisfied. We also do assignments in which you identify and implement process optimizations. An unused advice letter isn’t helping anybody, we want action and results! You connect easily with the client’s team, so they’ll have you on speed dial within no time.
Where necessary, you help clients with complex accounting issues. This could be a conversion to IFRS because they’re going public or enhancing their finance department to an international scale-up level. You seize every opportunity to automate processes and implement the right tools. You don’t need to be a tech whizz to do this; it’s more important that you’re a process expert with a high level overview and knowledge of internal control.
Depending on the type of project, you’ll additionally be working on:
Building and maintaining cash flow forecasts and business plans
Preparing and facilitating audits from the client side – here you’ll be the bridge between client and auditor
Identifying risks and setting up risk & control frameworks
Advising on the implementation of internal controls and the actual implementation
Reporting and setting up the necessary processes
Supporting the monitoring of ‘actuals vs budget’ and the daily financial management
Coaching and mentoring your junior team members at Marble as well as your client
What you’ll be bringing

Now about those skills. Besides that entrepreneurial and people-oriented Marble personality, you preferably have:
A completed WO Master’s degree in the field of business economics, business administration, accountancy or similar
Minimum of 4 years working experience at a Big 4 OR a number of years experience in the finance team of an (international) scale-up
If you have experience within audit and in business, that is a plus!
Excellent in Dutch and English
